Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme celebrated the Interreg Cooperation Day in a very relaxed and sunny atmosphere on the promenade of Balchick, on 4th of October. Interreg Cooperation Day in Balchick – a great experience with a lot of fun and sun!!
The event included a special moment consisting in folkloric dances performed by children from dancing school Vasil Levski.
During the day, were organized few bike tours at the Seafront promenade in Balchik using the bicycles purchased within the project MIS-ETC 890 with title “Black Sea Bike – Diversification of the tourism services in Constanta – Balchik cross border region by bike – BSB” implemented in partnership by Territorial Administrative Unit – Constanta Municipality and Balchik Municipality (implemented and financed under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Romania – Bulgaria 2007-2013) and using the renovated infrastructure and the developed velo alley under the project with e-MS code ROBG-422, title “Synergy of nature and culture – potential for development of the cross-border region”, implemented in partnership by Balchik and Mangalia Municipalities (implemented and financed under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme).
People stoppers showing pictures with the result from the projects financed by Interreg VA RoBg were on display on the seafront promenade, such that the passersby to be aquatint with the results of our Programme. Colorful balloons were distributed to the youngest participants and the bikes were decorated also, with balloons. The participants went home with promotional gifts developed by the Programme and by Interact.
Through this action, the aim was to raise the level of awareness regarding the major importance of the cross-border cooperation between Romania and Bulgaria in terms of developing a prosperous living environment for future generations, as well as a to inform citizens about the features of the programme.
Sun, joy and, the spirit of cooperation and networking among the participants were the main “ingredients” for this amazing day.
